| Staged by Bella | 3 photos: a large suite (two angles) and a small office |
The big room: polished concrete, chandeliers and nothing to sit on
The largest room in the house has a wall of French windows onto the patio, polished concrete floors and two wrought-iron chandeliers. It is the kind of space that impresses in person and confuses in a photo: empty, it could be a studio, a gym or a party room, and a buyer scrolling on a phone has no sense of scale. Our designers staged it as a primary suite with a sitting area, using a low bed, a long bench, a rug to soften the concrete and a sectional by the windows. The chandeliers and the light stay the focus.

The second angle looks across the room toward the arched doorway. It answers the questions buyers ask about a room this size: where the bed goes, and whether there is still space to sit and read.

The small room: a home office between the built-ins
The third photo is a narrow room lined with built-in cabinets and a mirrored wall. Empty, with only a wall-mounted TV, it reads as a storage room. A compact desk, a leather office chair, a rug and a few plants make it a clear home office, which is what many buyers at this price need.

What we can and cannot say
We do not claim staging alone sold this house. A 1927 home on a large Glendale lot sells on its architecture, location and price, and the listing agents' marketing plays a big part. Public records also show the house was listed in 2025 at higher prices and that listing expired, so the 2026 price was set differently. What the record does show is the timeline: the staging was ordered before the listing went live, and the house closed above asking within weeks.
Takeaways for luxury listings
- Stage the room that is hardest to read. Here that was the biggest room, not the smallest. Unusual spaces need a clear purpose in the photo.
- Keep the architecture visible. Low furniture kept the windows, arches and chandeliers in view.
- Three photos can be enough. The rest of the house photographed well on its own; staging went only where it was needed.
